Woods are as old as the history. It has a past dating back to the Byzantium. In the Ottoman Period, sultans and other statesmen used to take a rest in these woods.

Three mansions in the wood host their visitors today. Those mansions contribute to that beauty with the names of the Yellow Mansion, the Pink Mansion and the White Mansion.

Prince Selahattin Wood:
This wood is on a hill between Kuruçeşme and TRT building in Ulus. It is not noticed because of the fact that it isn’t located among tall trees. Nevertheless, people who know its location go there for a visit.  There are lentisks, locusts, olive and lime trees in the wood. It is very enjoyable to walk through this wood when the flowers are out in the spring.
